Why does it look like the majority of people are Vitamin D deficient these days.

You need to get your skin in the sun to make Vitamin D

  • We are seldom in direct sunlight
  • Indoors for longer
  • Sunscreen blocks UVB which is needed by the body to produce Vitamin D
  • We are told not go out in the midday sun. When is UVB highest and therefore Vitamin D production highest? At midday!
  • We are the opposite of naked. Covered from head to toe and slathered with suncreen on any bit that is exposed
  • Cofactors
