Not a specific Pick n Pay issue but anywhere marketing is at play.
In this case what they call a coffee club is an oxymoron.

Processing. Quite a bit of processing.
“Coffee”, that stuff that comes from coffee beans, is about 10 steps away from instant coffee.
Lately I’ve been contemplating “least hands”, the idea that products, services are best when they have gone through the fewest hands.
A “coffee club” with mostly “instant coffee” just exposes PnP ignorance.
A story Jerry Baldwin (who in 1971 cofounded the original Starbucks) liked to tell, was about how Nescafe™ products were received in the heart of Latin America’s coffee-growing regions, by the locals.
The phrase that had currency in that part of the world at the time.
“Nescafé no es café”. Which in English, means, “Nescafe is not coffee”.
