A reminder on what privacy means from Google

I just finished reading through “A privacy reminder from Google”, they want me to click “I Agree” without really being clear on what I am agreeing too. I don’t think this document could be more misleading if they tried, hold on they did probably spend a small fortune on lawyers. Typically with lawyers, there is a whole bunch of text saying and committing to nearly nothing, you know, just in case.

“You said … No! we never said that, what we meant was this …”

Process, they make it all sound so innocuous and obvious, obviously they have to process “data”, the question is “how” they process it and store it. It is all done for your benefit …

On combining data from other Google services …

This information can help make Google products work better for you in many ways.

and it just so happens we need it to make our billions.

And this is classic, at the bottom of the page is this wonderful bit of propaganda. Only small issue is that the specified pages are not actual links
